Becca's Story

On December 8, 2013, we lost our beautiful friend, Becca Stevenson to stomach cancer.
Becca was the epitome of strength, grace and courage. Her nine-month battle with stomach cancer was devastating, and from day one she needed a miracle, but she never let that discourage her from the fight. Even in times of extraordinary pain, she continued building her relationships and strived to be the best mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend that she could be. Throughout her battle, she was often more concerned with the comfort, well-being and feelings of others rather than her own… even in her worst of times. A true angel!
Becca succumbed peacefully to her battle with cancer on December 8th, 2013 with her mother and father by her side. She is loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.
In honor of Becca, the Team Becca Guild continually raise money for and bring awareness to the Ben Towne Pediatric Cancer Research Center in Seattle, WA through Seattle Children’s Hospital. Ben Towne held a special place in Becca’s heart after watching her best friend’s family suffer through Ben’s courageous battle. His story has paved the way for groundbreaking research to better treat and cure childhood cancer.
